Comics Quasar Comics and Collectibles has been buying and selling collectibles since 1982. We specialize in internet auction sales. We average placing 10 to 30 lots of books on eBsy each week. We used to do "mail bid" auctions which featured 1300+ lots of comics, science fiction, fantasy and related collectibles, books, original art, fanzines, big little books, pulps, etc. but these took an enormous amount of time to prepare and would only occur once every year or two. Our primary emphasis is on 1970s and earlier items but we sometimes have a newer materials in our auctions. With 20,000+ lots sold in the past, we take care to make sure we accurately describe all items. Our extremely low return rate of less than one third of one percent(!) as well as feedback from our world wide customers lets us know we are among the most accurate (and strict) graders in the business. Quasar Comics has received the Comics Buyers' Guide Customer Service Award in all years they have met the minimum advertising requirement (the only non-customer service related criteria). Bruce Edwards, owner of Quasar Comics and Collectibles, is a founding member of the American Association of Comic Book Collectors (A.A.C.C.) and has served on the A.A.C.C.'s Grading and Authentication Committee for Sotheby's annual comic book auction in 1993-96, 98 and 2000. Bruce is or has been advisor to various Overstreet publications, CBG price guide, Senior Advisor to Overstreet's Annual Price Guide, Comic Book Marketplace and Comics Source. Bruce has extensive experience in collectibles and has been buying and selling since 1971 (since 1989 in Louisville). All of our auctions are currently conducted using eBay.

Comics Quasar Comics accepts consignments of comics for its auctions on space available basis. Please call or write for details before sending any material. Auctions on eBay entail a lot of work as well as many "hideen" fees (eBay listing and final value fees, PayPal fees, etc.) Our commission rate for full service eBay auctions is 25% of the price realized, per lot, for the consignor. The commission can be as low as 10% plus all eBay related expenses on high ticket items. No buyer's fee is ever charged. Feel free to email, call or write with your questions or comments. |
